Questions
What is a risk register?
A list of the things that could go wrong for your organisation, each with its cause and consequence, how likely and how serious it is, who owns it, the controls already in place and what will be done next. Banks, auditors, boards and regulators often ask for one.
How does Sijil build mine?
You pick your sector and size. Sijil offers the risks organisations like yours usually face, from a risk bank written in English and Arabic, with a suggested owner and a typical score. You keep the ones that fit, drop the others, add your own, and adjust each score on a 5×5 scale.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no cookies. While you work, the draft stays in your browser. When you are done, the Excel file is your copy: upload it here later and you carry on where you stopped.
What is in the Excel file?
A summary with the ten highest risks, the full register (cause, what could happen, consequence, owner, likelihood, impact, score, level, controls in place, controls to consider, early-warning signs, response, next action, due date, status), a heat map and the scales. Score, level and the heat map are formulas, so they update when you edit the file.
Is it free?
It is free during the beta. Nothing about your register is stored on our side.
Can I rely on it?
It is a starting point, written for small and mid-size organisations, to adapt to yours. It is not professional advice, and it doesn't replace the judgement of the people who know your business.
